Today the DT department at Ash Hill Academy received a lovely and unexpected visit from the Managing Partner of HME Logistics. HME Logistics manufactured and installed the various new machines in our workshops in our new Porter Building.

Martyn from HME Logistics had heard from his team about the new Porter Building at Ash Hill Academy and wanted to come and see for himself how great our workshop looked.  Martyn came bearing gifts and generously donated 20 new workshop aprons for us to use with our students.  He stayed for an hour during our Y7 young assemblers club and watched the students cut out and shape Mitre joints for picture frames using the machines his company provided.

Martyn had a great hour before generously donating the aprons to our school and Milosz (pictured) graciously accepted the aprons on behalf of the students.

Many thanks to Martyn and HME Logistics for the gift and we look forward to working with Martyn in the future.
