This year's Careers Café opened this week, when we welcomed Eaton from Wheatley Hall Road, Doncaster.
Eaton is a power management company made up of over 96,000 employees, doing business in more than 175 countries. Their energy-efficient products and services help customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more reliably, efficiently, safely and sustainably.
The Doncaster site is part of the Electrical sector and it designs, manufactures and distributes commercial mains lighting, emergency lighting and central battery units worldwide.
Eaton offer internships, graduate opportunities, apprenticeships and work experience placements. We are very fortunate to have a good relationship with Eaton, which has allowed our students to participate in workplace visits at the Doncaster site, during which they were involved in a series of exciting workshops. Eaton also participated in our careers days last year providing our students with invaluable career advice.
We are in the process of organising workplace visits to the Doncaster site in the New Year, which will provide more Ash Hill students with the opportunity to experience a modern-day factory as well as learn about the range of career opportunities Eaton can offer.
We welcome John Leggott College on Friday, who will discuss A Level courses that the Scunthorpe-based college offer and answer any questions our students have, particularly our Y11 cohort, who will be thinking carefully about their next step after Ash Hill Academy.
