Ash Hill's Year 7 students learn lifesaving skills

Today we saw 157 students and staff participate in the 2019 Restart a Heart Day.

Working in partnership with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, our students were trained by the professionals to recognise the signs of cardiac arrest and how to perform basic CPR. Over 25,000 students from 163 different schools across Yorkshire and Humber have taken part in the day.

Performing CPR can double the chances of survival for someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest, which is why we have partnered with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to help train our students and staff across the day.

Thank you to everyone who took part and a special thanks to all the volunteers who helped to facilitate the day.
