Students and staff of Ash Hill Academy are celebrating today after receiving another year of improved results across all subjects, concluding a fantastic year for the academy!
81% of students gained a grade 4 or above in English and 63% of students gained a grade 4 or above in maths, with all subjects improving on last year’s performance.
Carol Cartwright, AAB Chair commented, “Congratulations and well done to all our Year 11 students. These results are once again a clear indication of the strong teaching and individual support we provide for our students; their success is very well deserved.”
Principal John Higgins said “I am absolutely delighted with these results which reflect the hard work put in by both students and staff. What an end to the year, record breaking results for 4 years in a row combined with a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement in March and the academy receiving several national awards for its continued improvement in driving education standards, including the coveted Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) for which the academy has been recognised as a National Centre of Excellence.
The results and the awards together with the new school building opening in the New Year has really shown what a great place Ash Hill is to learn and work at.”
