An extra special fundraising day will take place at Ash Hill Academy on Friday 14th February, to raise money for an extremly worthy charity: Little Princess Trust. This amazing charity provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. More information can be found here.
The idea to raise money for this particular charity came from one of our fantastic Year 7 students, Kobi Laybourne, who is going to have his hair cut off (he's been growing it for 3 years!) in the Year 7 assembly tomorrow. He has been busily collecting sponsorship money for this event. We will post more on this later.
The academy will also be having a non-uniform day for staff and students. A 50p donation will go to Little Princes Trust. We ask that students ensure that they wear appropriate clothes (for example, no "onesies", cropped tops, bedtime clothes etc.)
We are looking forward to a superb day and hope to raise a significant amount of money this outstanding charity.
