Ash Hill Academy – Ambition Unlimited Programme

Last week students from Ash Hill Academy along with 80 students from partner academies in the trust participated in the first session of the Ambition programme.

AHA Y10 students participated in an Army Skills Day with Master Cutler Elect Mr James Tear and Captain Malcom Birkett MBE from The Yorkshire Regiment, 4th Battalion Burma Company.

The students took part in activities such as Air Soft, blind folded obstacle course, VR, bridge build, desert survival task, car build gun run and loads more. This resulted in our students being awarded with certificates to recognise there hard work throughout the day.

The Ambition programme is a unique opportunity for our students to participate in sessions intended to raise aspirations, become better prepared for the world of work and ultimately be successful in life after education.

Throughout this year there are planned activity days for our students as part of the Ambition programme to visit business and workplaces, colleges, factories and various sections of the public sector. Each of these activities will planned to develop social skills, leadership and working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The great news is that each student will represent our Academy and the programme will run for the next 3 years.
