Today staff and students at Ash Hill Academy paused their teaching and learning to pay their respects with a minutes silence in remembrance of those who have given their lives for their country in war and conflict around the world such as World War One and World War Two, the Falklands War, The Gulf War, and conflicts in countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq.

Y7 and Y8 students along with their teaching staff in DT and Art produced a memorial wreath made from coloured poppies to position outside the front of the Academy.

Additionally throughout the week, Mr Morris (Head of History) delivered thought-provoking assemblies to explain the importance of Remembrance Day and how Doncaster families connected to the military were and are affected.

Lest We Forget.
