Ash Hill Academy student to represent Team GB Taekwondo at European Junior Championships

Elouise Murray, Y11, has been selected by GB Taekwondo for next month’s European Junior Championships in Sarajevo.

Elouise, who will compete in the 42kg weight category, is one of 15 promising fighters named for the tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina from November 12-15.

This follows the success achieved by Ash Hill Academy alumni Bradley Sinden this past summer who had our community and the rest of the nation glued to the TV screens as we watched him secure the silver medal at Toyko 2020 Olympics.

Elouise will attend training camp in Croatia during half term this month as she prepares for the European Championships before returning to school in the mean time as she continues with her studies.

“So, so proud of her! We are definitely going to see that name in the Olympics one day and I’ve already told her that I will be there in the front row with a huge banner!”. Mrs Perkins, Y11 Learning Manager.

We are super proud of you Elouise and excited to follow your journey. Good luck!
