Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence
Ash Hill Academy is delighted to announce that they have achieved the Inclusive School Award with Centre of Excellence status.
The IQM assessor identified that safeguarding is given high priority. The IQM assessor observed a range of lessons and met key members of staff. The report highlighted that Ash Hill Academy has a clear focus on consistency to deliver Quality First Teaching (QFT), behaviour, engagement, and differentiation with clear expectations for all students.
The assessor visited to all classrooms, and stated that, ‘It was evident that this consistent approach was used throughout, as they moved through classrooms throughout the period, they could clearly recognise the stages of the Teaching and Learning Principles in action, with all students understanding the procedures and how it supported their learning’.
