Year 11 Easter Holiday Revision
To support your child with preparation for the final examinations this summer, we have organised a series of revision sessions across a number of curriculum areas during the Easter holidays.
The sessions, with dates and times, that your child has been invited to attend are outlined below. We hope that our Year 11 students will be able to attend as many sessions as possible. If your child has been invited to multiple sessions and is unable to attend all the sessions, then they should choose to attend the sessions that they think would be most beneficial.
The session we will be running are:
- Geography/History – Monday 3rd April from 10.00am to 12.00pm – All pupils expected to attend
- Sports Science – Tuesday 4th April from 10.00am to 12.00pm
- English Literature – Wednesday 5th April from 9.30am to 11.30am – All pupils expected to attend
- Maths – Thursday 6th April from 9.30am to 11.30am – All pupils expected to attend – lunch provided
- Science – Thursday 6th April from 12.00pm to 2.30pm – All pupils expected to attend
- French – Thursday 13th April from 10.00am to 12.00pm
The Academy would appreciate your support in encouraging your child to attend as many sessions as possible. Each session will focus on the following areas:
- Review of topics/units of study
- Past paper practice
- Improving students’ examination technique
Students will be supervised in the Academy during the duration of each session, including any breaks, but as with a normal day, will not be allowed off site during the sessions or breaks between sessions. On arrival at the Academy for a session, students should go to student reception to await collection.
Students do not need to wear uniform and as there will be no catering facilities available on the day, they will need to bring suitable refreshments.
